Introduction

What if Christine chose to stay with Erik, and leave Raoul. Would her life be different? Would the Paris Opera House still stand?

Chapter 1:

"Ahh," Christine breathed the freshly cleaned stage, of the Opera Classique de Paris. She would be prepairing for the next Opera, On Call. A story about people trying out to get into a musical. Though only a few will make the call. Christine would be playing the lead, and Piangi would be playing the other lead.

A few nights before she performed Don Juan and played Amitta. During the middle of the play she had a choice to make, Raoul or Erik. She knew that Erik would do something horrible to the people she loved. And even though he was a murderer she loved him more. She chose him, and married him. Everyone was happy, he has stopped the murders and he can show his face, without hurting any one. But André and Firmin have quit. They didn't believe that Erik would turn good, they thought it was a trap.

Christine sat down in the middle of the stage, and read over her lines, for the first scene. Her lines weren't that hard, but she had a lot of them, and a lot of songs. Though as told by the director, Stephn Cozeat, she had to memorize the first scene lines, for today.

Annie: I don't know, Keneth. What if I don't make it.
Keneth: You'll be fine Annie. I know it. Just remember to breath.
Head of Play: Annie Proganeist? You're up.
Annie: Coming. I will be singing the song 'Whishing You Were Somehow Here Again', from Phantom the Opera.
You were once . . . my one campanion. You were all that mattered. You were once a friend and father. Then my world was shattered. Wishing you were somehow here again. Wishing you were somehow near. Sometimes it just seemed, if I just dreamed, somehow you would be here. Wishing I could hear your voice again. Knowing that I never would."
Head of Play: Thank you Annie.

Christine read her lines over and over again. Trying to memorize. Then Stephn came in. "Christine? Why are you here so early? Practice doesn't start until 12:30 and it's only 10:00." Stephn asked walking up to her. "I still need to memorize my lines, and get all my stage directions down. I haven't had much time lately. With the moving in and stuff." Christine said happily. Thinking of Erik made her smile, and made her happy. She stood up and practiced her stage directions. But before she could start singing Steph spoke up. "Christine. Go down, see your husband, and come back when rehersal starts." "Okay," Christine said happily.

Christine walked into her dressing room. She went through her mirror, and made her way down to her home. She heard beautiful music. The beautiful music continued. Christine continued to walk towards the beautiful music. She walked into her home. There at the organ she saw her best friend Meg Giry, singing with her husband. "Meg?" Christine said angrily walking up to her husband. "Care to explain." Christine asked in an unhappy tone.

Cool. Great job. I love it. Mainly since, it tells the story in what would happen if she did choose Erik. I have always wondered that. I think that you have alot of talent, and should be a writer someday. More please. If not. . . ::grabs punjab lasso:: . . . he he he.

I got a little confused at the beginning, but it looks cool. Can't wait to see Raoul get busted!

Christine stood unhappily as Meg stood there in silence, same with Erik. "I'm waiting." Christine said unhappily. Meg took a deep breath. "I - I," Meg couldn't finish. "You wanted to what? Take my husband away?" Christine hissed. "NO!! Christine, I wanted to learn to sing. And Erik was the only one I could turn to." Meg said fastly. "Erik? My Erik? Don't you know of the chorus master? And Madame Giry said that you couldn't come down here." Christine said unhappily. "Get out." Christine scowled. With that Meg left. Erik stood up and walked to Christine.

"What the hell was that for?" Erik asked angrily. "I'm sorry. I just don't want to loose you, and have you fall for someone else." Christine said as tears filled her eyes. Erik grabbed her in a hug, and hugged her tight. "You honestly think that I'm going to fall for someone else. I love you." Erik said. He pulled back and wiped away the tears from Christine's face. "I love you too," Christine whispered. She kissed Erik on the lips and Erik kissed her back. He walked over to the organ.

He began to play. "Scales." Erik said simply. "Actually Italian Vouls." He said. He scooted over and made room so that Christine could sit next to him. "Ah, Eh, EE, OH, OO." Christine sang in her beautiful voice. "Wonderful." Erik said happily. He put his arm around her as they continued to work on her voice.

Erik looked at the clock and it said 11:45. "I suggest you go to rehersal." Erik said. Christine stood up happily and gave Erik a hug. "I'll be back." Erik smiled as Christine left the layer. Christine went up to the stage, where she barley made it for the cast & crew meeting. There was obviously something wrong. For Stephn had said. "Something, terrible has happened."

To be continued . . .

Interesting. You've got talent. A few questions, as well as some constructive crit.

1) How old are you? (So I know what kind of writing to expect)
2) Is this supposed to be based on the actual events as if they'd happened, or as if it's people moving on after having played a part? (It feels as if the characters have changed personalities)
3) Is it also in the same time era? (Some phrases and descriptive passages feel modern)

::grins:: I have PMed you! Keep up the writing.

This story is keeping me on the edge of my seat! I'm dying to know what happens next! I have never seen a version where there is drama between Meg and Christine, but it's very interesting and I can't wait to see what's in store in the next scene! Wonderful work! Brava Brava!
