This is what happens when an English teacher tells his class to write a Shakespearean sonnet on "whatever they like." I hate to rhyme (which iambic pentameter Shakespearean sonnets must do), and I hate having to have a certain amount of syllables (again, a Shakespere thing). So...here's what I wrote. Based on Erik, of course...not too good, but I figured that since it's about Phantom, I might as well post it.
Angel in Hell
Should my belief in this unwanton lie
Fall victim to these nights of chilling gloom,
Your spirit, white and pure, would surely die
Beneath these shadow-ridden wings of doom.
Resist! The death of this cold heart draws near.
Your talk of summertime is in your reach.
Don't stay to rid yourself of guilt and fear.
Abandon me to darkness, I beseech.
An angel can't survive in Hell for long.
The end has come, my soul of weeping song.
:cd1: < Ah! That's so great!
