[Raptured Night]

I just wanted to put this up here, it's one of my newer poems. I did this one from feeling, none of the words were really planned so it's not as fancy as some of my others. But I like this one best. Anyway let me know what you think, feedback is always helpful.

I know I'm not good enough, I know that it's true,
And I'm sorry that I stopped trying, that I will never be good enough for you.
But I wish you could understand, sometimes I wish that you could see,
That the person behind all the smiles, is not always truely me.
But I know that you can't, and I don't blame you at all,
I chose for you to think I'm not good enough, I chose to take the fall.
I understood that you weren't happy, and that you deserved to be,
And so I became a traitor, I lied to set you free.
I don't blame you for what I am, what I let myself become,
Because it was worth being there for you, understand that I was already numb.
Understand that getting close to you, was worth the tears I shed at night,
And I understand that you'll never know all this, because being there for you, is the one thing I've done right.
