Has anyone seen the play, 'Noises Off'? My high school is currently doing and I think it's a great show. If you haven't seen it, the show is basically a play-in-a-play. The show calls for a two-story revolving set, 8 doors, 9 actors and 6 plates of sardines.

The first act shows the stage and the actors as the struggle though their final dress rehearsal, everyone still missing entrances and exits, lines and props.

The second act shows the backstage side of the show during a show in a fictional city. In the second act you see more of the love triangles and mass chaos, including fights with axes, shoes getting tied together and one very bothersome cactus plant.

The third act (my personal favorite) takes place on teh stage side once again, it's a performance well into the tour where everything that could go wrong does.

It's fairly hard to explain the show unless you've seen it but nearly everyone who saw it was in tears of laughter watching the actors and actresses fall up and down teh stairs through door and onto their faces. Another great thing about the show is if the actors mess up during the performance nobody can tell because the entire play is chaos.

Oh, and did I mention that one girl is in her underwear for most of the show?

I've seen the film version and recall finding it very amusing. I know that, given the opportunity, I would watch it again. I seem to recall that Christopher Reeve and Carol Burnett are in the cast.

I imagine that it must be even better on stage, knowing there haven't been a dozen takes to get each moment just right. Then, it must seem even more manic.
