I dabble in photoshop, though you probably would say I'm a very inconsistant studier of it. I make banners on whims and requests, but not relgiously. I have a bunch saved up on my computer and photobucket dating from a week ago to a year ago. I also have different hand-drawn pieces that I'll post, but I'll warn you theres a lot. I don't know what goes in what order, but here goes nothing...

OMG! Raven and Vivien on a banner--a funny one at that--is sooooo great! I love it! That's really so cute though I'm not sure that he would call her that. Naturally, he'd have to sue the "rag" that printed it. *giggle* I'm not saying that Raven might not THINK the word, but he wouldn't say it. I'm honored!

It's fun doing in-joke banners, isn't it?

I especially like La Sorelli. The background color is very nice and very soothing and seems to suit the picture. It has a floaty, airy effect.

I also like the first promotional banner. It's very intriguing and plays on our memories of that particular very steamy song/number.

Your banners make me want to experiment even more with clipped images. I've done a few, but I'd like to try more because it makes for an interesting effect.

I'm enjoying studying all of your work. I love visiting others' art threads to see all the varying approaches there are.

Ooh! He did?! That should tell you that my characters do their own thing. I'm just around to type it. I'm often amazed by what Easy and Raven say and do, and it tends to surprise me when I reread it.

I'm still so flattered that you captured that particular meeting. I'll have to reread it to see what else Raven had to say and think.

Does that ever happen to you--that "Where did THAT come from?!" sensation?

By the way, I don't know the play, but the Erik/Nadir banner is interesting and likely will make people curious about that production.

I don't think popularity matters much, you seem to have good artwork, I like it.

The cartoons are cute (although you are right scanning them in made them sort of shadowy but I don't think you should re-scan them) I like your new batch of graphics I think that they are great, I especially like the banner you have now and the mini banner for the Meg phansite. I can't wait for you to make more!

The best part about it is that he's not a dog about it though. :) I love the Julietta/Alexander one, mainly because the picture is taken out of one of my favorite scenes of Love Actually (one of my favorite Christmas movies). Okay. You have to understand something about me before checking out this next post. I have a confession to make. Read no further if you believe anything I say can and will change your perception of me.






I was THE biggest Kim Possible nerd a few years back. Why, you ask, does this matter? It was, after all, AGES ago, right? Yeah. But I came across some of my old fanfics for KP and, well, made banners.

I was a Drakken/Shego shipper. Still am if anyone asks me about the show. They were totally meant for each other. But stupid (or genre-saavy, take your pick) screenwriters refused to put them together because , c'mon. The two lead villains? In a romantic-- loving-- relationship? It would ruin their credibility! (Not that they had much of one. Or at least, not Drakken). ANYWAYS. Banners. Not my best, but I had to get them out of my system.

I really liked using cartoon characters for banners-- easier to cut out than real people. And it was fun running down memory lane. If you comment, please don't laugh at me. I'm banner-wise uninspired at the moment and these were the best I could actually come up with.

Haha, Madeline. My Madeleine is flattered that you like it.. Her last name was chosen purposefully. Actually they both were. Her "real" name, which she uses for work as Ballet Mistress is Madeleine Ledoux. Ledoux was intentionally picked to relate to the Persian in 1925, even though he and Mad have nothing in common. Her other last name "de Chandon", which she used on stage at the Moulin Rouge and uses in her personal life, is derived from Philippe de Chandon, the "Raoul" figure in the Yeston and Kopit Musical. It's also a type of wine, which I found fitting for my semi-alcoholic character. :D

Yeah, I'm a geek.

I couldn't sleep, so I've been cruising through art threads and realized this is a great way to catch up on couples and other pairs! I've learned more about some of the past matchups than I likely could from reading bunches of posts~not that I'm going to give up doing that! But, it's fun to see the combination of images and graphics, and I always *sigh* over fonts since Print Shop (yep, the cheapie from Wal-Mart) is font-challenged. I still haven't figured out how to load fonts then access them in Print Shop, which just might be impossible.

Anyway...

I scarcely know where to start in picking out the ones I reallyreally like a lot and might have to come back to look again, adding them to this post. I'm fascinated by the Unmasking art mainly because I feel extremely deficient there. I'm never sure if I just created a sort-of wally or actually managed to do what is necessary for Unmasking. Maybe if I study long enough I'll catch on. *smiles toothily*

(Most of your banners are our characters, but still) & not only have you made my day yesterday with them, but they make my everyday! Thank you for the review/compliments! I’m glad the banners made/make your day! And, yeah, I know most all my banners are of our characters—jeez, I’m self-absorbed!—it’s a matter of two things 1) they relate very closely to my sense of creativity and 2) I haven’t had requests in a while, so I practice on our lovely guinea pigs. I almost said “sexy” but putting “sexy” and “guinea pigs” together is worse than a guy who wants to make love to a rhino. ANYWAYS. We did good, chica, at matching up AIs that don’t usually go together. :) That’s something to be proud of.

I love these!!!

My favourite is the last one. It captures the essence of Rachel.

Rachel's turn took me a few times. But that was because I had a dirt spot on my screen (!!!!) and it threw me off, because I thought it was part of the banner. But all is good now, I really like that banner.

The fantasy one makes me laugh my freaking ass off everytime I see it!

Next up, we have a pretty, romantic-styled look for Rachel/Santiago (http://i946.photobucket.com/albums/ad302/wonderlandsqueen2010/AllINeedcopy.jpg) lovers. This piece out of my "Rantiago" line is purple with a checkerboard design and is ideal for romantic scenes with your charrie's loved one, but is just flirty enough to keep you looking hot.
