Looks: Tall from good genes, muscular from sports and working out, with dark hair and eyes, and a great smile, all these qualities make him a handsome and fairly approachable guy. He knows how to use his charming grin to his advantage when it best suits him.

History: Geoff, as he insists to be called, was born and raised in London as an only child to a pair of very loving parents. His father was always a bit of a workaholic, though he always had time for his small family. He worked in the jewel industry, importing and selling diamonds and other precious gems and metals. He owned one of the largest and most successful, legal, businesses in all of Britain, and had several stores overseas. He met his wife before he ever became successful, and there were therefore never any doubts that she married for love and not money, though she eventually got plenty of both. While Mr. Kearsley was working and providing a house for the couple, Mrs. Kearsley was turning said house into a home. At the peak of his success, when he thought that life could not get much better, Mr. Kearsley’s wife informed him that they were expecting. Nine months later, Geoffrey was born.

Because his parents were so attentive and loving, and the fact that his mother was not naive enough to think that no one would see opportunity for blackmail in her son, Geoff was home-schooled, which only added to his already strong relationship with his mother. He gave his parents more than a few early gray hairs when he hit his mid-teens and, instead of rebelling like most, took up a few dangerous hobbies, his favorite of which being his beloved motorcycle and his parents least favorite being his smoking, which increased when he turned 21.

Shortly after his 21th birthday, Geoff was sitting at home when he got a phone call from the police that quickly turned his life into a downward spiral. His parents had been on the way to a big charity function, which he had begged out of as he hated formal events, when the storm had hit. His father was driving, and stubborn as he was didn’t turn back and go home, he kept driving. A drunk driver was in the wrong lane and going way too fast – all three people involved were killed at the scene.

The time following his parents death was painful to say the very least. He began drinking a little to heavily, smoking a little too much, and hanging around with people that were less than glamorous. He suspected they liked him for his money, but by the time they opened his eyes to drugs he didn't care. With the thick cloud of misery over the loss he had recieved, the drugs made him feel good, and pretty soon he began to depend on the good feelings. They got him through the day.

While walking the streets of London, trying to clear his drugged up head, a couple from his old, happy life spotted him. They noted his dishivelled appearance, the hallows of his eyes, and the redness in them, and called a rehab clinic. Geoff is sure that they didn't care -- it was just the wife's good deed for the year. But whatever it was, it worked. He was pushed and shoved into rehab where he eventually quit every drug he was taking (the exception being his precious cigarettes), and the therapist there showed him he could be happy without his parents. He has been seeing that therapist ever since, until the doctor perscribed a long holiday out of country.

Months after his parents death and fresh out of rehab, Geoff left home and flew to Paris, where his father donated a substantial amount of money each year at his mothers insistence (as she loved the arts dearly), to see what was so fabulous about it. He never made it to the opera with his mother when she was alive, and he went to go see it in memory of her death a year later, and fell in love with the City of Lights. He had fallen into depression after losing the only two people that mattered to him in his life, and his therapist had suggested he leave London and move to Paris, for a while at least, to escape the memories of his childhood home and start fresh in a new city, and build his own life.

Personality: Very independent, very sarcastic, a little morbid and a little clingy, Geoff is not the typical spoiled rich kid, although he was spoiled and is very rich. He became more emotional when his parents died, and has been looking for love and affection that could measure up to his parents, while at the same time trying to remain independent. One of his biggest issues he is having with the women he is meeting so far is that none of them are intelligent enough for his liking. He is hoping that the French women will overlook his British heritage and show him that there are still good looking smart women left in the world.

Other: Geoff’s prized possession is and always will be his motorcycle, and he has always driven it too fast, though has never gotten caught. His favorite normal hobby is playing basketball, as he loves physical exercise.
