Its really funny how in to Broadway I actually am and yet, I severely lack in the department of actually having seen any. I have never been to New York even though I will be living there once I graduate from college and playing in the pit orchestra's for Broadway shows. :D
But as far as just what I have seen around here, the Broadway South Series has events in Raleigh which isn't too terribly far away from where I live. My grandma took me to see the Lion King there when I was very little, I barely remember any of the play, but I do remember going. I have seen The Nutcracker several times in different cities. And my latest show was RENT back in November which was just...phenomenal and beyond words really.

While in high school, I was in these three:
Brigadoon
South Pacific
Goldilocks (by Jean and Walter Kerr ~ since most people haven't heard of it)
I've seen these on stage, professional and amateur:
West Side Story ~ three productions
Finian's Rainbow
Bye Bye Birdie
From my brief list, one would think I do not care for musicals, which definitely is not the case! I have a collection of albums that includes the popular ones plus a number of more-obscure ones such as "Baker Street", starring Fritz Weaver as Sherlock Holmes; "Tom Jones"; and "All in Love". While commuting to junior college, my constant companion was my tapeplayer and collection of audiocassettes (the latest thing back then!). I had many musicals memorized and still can call to mind many of my favorites. Now, I have to rely on filmed versions, which isn't always such a bad thing. In the old days, Arts & Entertainment channel used to air stage productions. Sadly, now that channel gives us reality shows of all types, no longer living up to the "Arts" part of "A&E".
Unfortunately, finances plus health problems (my own and others in my immediate family) never allowed me to travel anywhere to see the musicals I would have loved to have experienced. It's good to see that others are not being kept from stage experiences. I hope that never changes for you.
