Personality: Kavin is a hard worker. He sets standards for himself and expects to attain or surpass them. He has an inner drive that is irrepressible. Proud of his work, Kavin never manages to come off as conceited and is a genuine person. He never minds getting his hands dirty. He’s also the sort of man who, if you are is friend, he’ll love you like a brother. But if you’re his enemy, he won’t mind punching you in the face. Intensely loyal to his friends, which Kavin occasionally has difficulty making due to his focus on work, Kavin is also funny, good-humored, and flirtatious. He’s had a few girlfriends in the past, but has never tied himself down for too long. He has a wonderful sense of humor, but would rather play a harmless trick than make fun of someone. History: Born to an Irish father and French mother, Kavin spent a happy childhood in Ireland. His mother was a singer with an amazing voice and his father was a teacher. When Kavin was thirteen, tragedy struck the happy little family and his father, Kieran, died in a car accident. His mother, Charlotte, soon realized that she could not support her son in Ireland any longer, so the two of them left for Paris to live with Charlotte’s brother, Gabriel. Gabriel acted as a second father to Kavin, but Kavin never forgot Kieran, who’s grave he’s visited multiple times in his adult life. In school, Kavin wasn’t the lowest of low grade-wise. He did okay for himself academically. Socially however, the other boys considered him a pariah. He “talked funny”. However, the girls liked how he talked and enjoyed his funny side. That did nothing to win Kavin favor with the other boys. There were several instances when he got into a fight with another boy over a girl—often times, Kavin won. At age sixteen, his mother was performing and his uncle couldn’t sit with him. So, being the curious sort, Kavin wandered about the theater, eventually running into a stagehand working the show. The stagehand, Gerard Gaubert, took an instant liking to Kavin and showed him the ropes, so to speak, of the theater. From then on, Kavin knew he wanted to be a theater tech. So, he went off to college to earn a bachelor’s in Tech Theater. Once out of college, Kavin wandered around from theater to theater. While in Italy, he stumbled across the recently renovated Teatro degli Arcimboldi in Milan, where he worked for three years. He left Milan, to be closer to his family, though. His mother and uncle welcomed back the wandering Kavin with open arms. He took up a job as a stagehand at the Paris Opera house two days after Christmas.
Hobbies: Kavin loves music, as he was raised around a musically inclined mother. But Kavin also loves sports—football (soccer), rugby, and climbing are just a few of his favorites. Kavin also loves jokes. He has been known to frequent comedy clubs as much as he frequents opera houses. Kavin is also a flirt to the nth degree. He’s met many, many women throughout his life. During his three year time in Milan, Kavin had four girlfriends, if that says anything about him. Kavin won’t say no to a dance or round of karaoke. He is a naturally talented singer, though his voice is not quite cut out for opera. He’s much more a rock singer than an operatic star. Which is fine with him; stagehands don’t have to do arias.
