Anyone ever see it? It came out in 1992 and stars Gary Oldman, Winona Ryder, Keanu Reeves, and Anthony Hopkins.

I loved Winona's acting; I thought she had the perfect mix of confusion, torment, and love. Keanu's acting was pretty wooden, as usual. Gary was just creepy, yet romantic at the same time -- kind of like our dear Erik. Anthony was great, too.

Though I'm usually big on "canon" and staying true to the story, I liked the whole reincarnation idea. What did you guys think?

I loved Dracula. It was one of the movies that made me come to like and appreciate vampire stories.

Keanu reeves i did not know until i saw speed, and of course wynona was known to me.

Tha main part i loved, was when they were together on the bed towards the end, Dracula and Mina Harker, feeding from one another, and making the change from mortal to immortal.

It is beautiful in it's own way.

His acting is always "wooden"... but only in the movies where the setting is a long time ago or he's supposed to be British (both of which fit this movie). It's really annoying, but I try really hard not to let it get to me.

I just recently saw this movie for the first time and I had no idea that it was so long. LoL, I think I fell asleep during part of it... and I don't remember the ending at all. Oh well, I'll watch it again sometime when I've got nothing else to do.

But yeah, it was really, really good. I love it. :)

The part where Dracula is making Mina a vampire always makes me cry! I have no idea why; maybe it's the whole "No -- I love you too much to condemn you." I just lose it.

I saw this movie for the first time this year, and that part always makes me cry too. You can see that he is so torn. He wants to spend eternity with Mina because he has already lost her once and has been searching for her for so long, but at the same time he knows the torment of living as a vampire, and loves her too much to subject her to such a thing. It is just so sad.

I always cry at the end too when they are in the chapel and he is dying and she has to drive that sword all the way through him and cut off his head to free his soul. She loves him, so she knows she has to free him, but at the same time, how on earth would you do something like that to someone you love...

I really loved the constant inner conflicts that many of the characters went through in this film. There were a few parts that I thought were a tad over the top, but in general I thought it was fairly good. I could have done with different actors portraying Mina and Jonathan, but I thought that Gary Oldman as Dracula was just perfect (I love him in practically everything he has been in).

The reincarnation bit has been done to death--forgive the pun. "Dark Shadows" had Barnabas Collins falling in love with the governess who resembled his long-lost Josette. Even before that, there were interpretations that included that old standard--the reincarnated lost love. In fact, the TV film of "Dracula" with Jack Palance also used the lost-and-found love theme. So did "Fright Night" I believe, a very different vampire film for its time.

I was majorly disappointed with the Coppola film version although I generally like his work. It looks more like a Ken Russell film, lurid sex- and blood-drenched as it was. He should have left off "Bram Stoker's" in the title.

I have to state that I'm no Gary Oldman fan. I've seen him in a number of films, and he has never impressed me. If he could "chew the scenery" as enjoyably as some other actors, it would be OK; he just chews. I know there are many Oldman fans out there, so this is just one film buff's opinion. I know more about actors, actresses and films than the average person, so I have a foundation for my opinions.

There are far better treatments of "Dracula" out there and definitely better vampire films.

I saw this a couple of years ago and I really enjoyed it and would watch it again when I get the chance.
I'm a fan of Gary Oldman and all the movies I've seen him in, so getting to see him play Dracula was cool.

I'd have to go back and watch it again. I don't remember a whole lot of it.

I thought this version was . . . okay, as far as Dracula adaptations go. Certainly not the most faithful to Bram Stoker's novel; I don't think it should've had the author's name as part of the title. Still, I loved Winona Ryder as Mina.

Gary's Dracula was great, and he had one of the more accurately Romanian accents of any of the film versions. But personally, my favourites in the role are Christopher Lee, Frank Langella, and Jack Palance. Anthony Hopkins was excellent, but nothing on Laurence Olivier. Still, this film is a reasonably enjoyable diversion as long as I try not to think too much about the book while watching it.

Ah! I really want to see Winona Ryders's and Gary Oldman's Dracula! It's just something I have to watch it!. I wanted to see it, but my parents are taking 'cautions'. Judging from some of the things from the youtube videos, it seems amazing!

I watch this movie every Halloween! It's actually one of my favourite movies.

Yeah, it's flawed at times, mostly because of the cliché of the love story, but I'm a bit of a sucker for that story and I like that it actually gives Dracula more of a motivation than just being hungry.

I am a big Gary Oldman fan and I loved him in this movie. I love Sadie Frost's transformation as a vampire, the editing and effects were amazing and the artwork always blows me away! Eiko Ishioka is a genius!
