Eden was the oldest of four children born to Michelle and Kane Vance. He, like both his parents, was born and raised in London, England. He and his siblings, Evelyn, Adam, and Lilith, had lived a very good life until the death of their mother a year after Adam and Lilith were born. The death of Michelle had never been fully explained to young Eden, who only knew that his mother had been extremely sick. What his father neglected to tell him was that Eden's mother had had the HIV virus and that was eventually what had killed her. Eden himself was born with the genetic immunity against the disease, he is a carrier for it though it doesn't affect him. Michelle was from an aristocratic family, the Stafford family, but lost her claim to the title that was her birthright when she married Kane Vance. However, her parents allowed her to still have claims to her inheritance, which was quite a large sum of money.
