Evelyn, editor-in-chief of the New York Times, is generally a quiet, semi-social individual when she's off work, but hard-hitting and firm around her peers. She has a wide circle of friends, though only a few of them actually appeal to her taste. Polite and dignified most of the time, and cruel and lashing when need be. Her countenance is calm and collected, even when her mind is not. She has a tendency to shut people away from herself mentally and emotionally, especially after her husband's accident. If you tell a joke, she'll laugh. If you need to talk, she's all ears.

Couldn't resist popping in to talk about how much I love Evelyn. Seriously. Every single post I've read for her, I've loved, Rose. The way you phrase her thoughts, words, and actions are always dead on. To me Evelyn is one of the most realistic characters on the board because of her rational, level-headed personality. It's got the perfect balance, in my opinion. She also seems like the type of woman I'd literally kill to have as a friend, so having said that let me also say how much I love the friendship she has with Julien. The two of them have made one heckofa team when it comes to being there for Bella, so kudos on that score. One thing I've always wondered though is how it might be for Evelyn to fall in love. *shrug* Dunno, as cliche as it sounds, she just seems to be the type of woman who's so rational and calm about everything, I think it would be interesting to see some of that calm become vulnerable.

Anyways. Kudoskudoskudos to you for this fab charrie, m'dear. :)

So we've had numerous rps with some of my very different characters. I have to say that my favorite rps have been with Bella and Calvin... I want to see where Calvin and Evelyn's relationship goes and I love Evelyn and Bella's relationship is just great. It's like a mother/daughter and a sister/sister relationship at the same time. As Jas said she's one of the most realistic characters on the board and I too think it would be extremely interesting to see her fall in love.

I have wondered if I'd have Evelyn fall in love sometime. I don't know how she'd take relationships. I guess it's been long enough since her husband's death. Maybe... I'm as curious as you guys about seeing her in love. *strokes chin* It could be... interesting.

I look forward to what our present RPs result in and what future RPs may hold for us.

Evelyn's always been one of those characters I've admired, I remember RPing with you when I still had Vivien around. I really liked Evelyn. Still do, truth be told. If ever you would like a scene, let me know. :)

I've decided for Talin that he likes Evelyn. We haven't even gotten into our role play much and I'm already kind of noticing strangely similar things about them... like the fact that they'd both much rather keep their distance from people :) anyway I look forward to more role plays between Talin and Evelyn and can't wait to see where they go.

By the way still waiting for the right guy to come along and see her fall in love ;) it's bound to happen eventually.

I've been away from TPO for more than a year, with only a couple of short visits back during that time. I was kept away due to a dying laptop and a flareup of various illnesses. Now, I hope that I am back for a very long stay and a lot of RPing. Again, if ever you would like Evelyn to meet any or all of my three guys, I'd be delighted!

I believe Evelyn Aldridge, my very first charrie, will go into retirement soon. Of course, we'll just see because she seems to be having a very pleasant start with Raven Corbett, so she will stick around for a little while longer.

I have a new character brewing in my head and if I ever feel like bringing him here, Evelyn will sadly be the one to go.

If so just tell me where :) I can't wait! So I love how I'm playing a guy's character...I hope he doesn't seem too feminine because I'm writing as him though...that could be a problem!

I really like Evelyn. I hope that our Evelyn/Lucian scene amounts to more plottage. She is-- as others have stated-- extremely reallistic and thought-provoking. I know you said a few months ago that she may be on your chopping block, but I, for one, hope that you have since changed your mind. Fantastic and fascinating character. :)

I think Evelyn's staying around for much longer, especially since she's been having a couple more scenes going on. And "chopping block" brings such a graphic image that it gives me all the more reason to keep her around even more, to save her from such a fate. :)

I, too, am excited to see where Lucian and Evelyn go, especially after this initial "awkward greeting stage" between strangers. Oh, the possibilties...

I want you to know that I really loved Evelyn and Raven Corbett together! My reclusive author doesn't emerge from his shell very often, but the two of them seemed to be getting along so nicely. Maybe they'll both return someday. I was looking at my Raven banners today and thought how much I miss him even though he tends to be an ol' stick-in-the-mud at times!

Yeah, they made a good couple. They were both pretty reserved and refined people. It was a little awkward at times, but I think, eventually, they might have found out they were a good fit for each other. Maybe... Now, who knows?

I honestly miss Raven and was very curious about seeing a romantic side of him, something he has shown in only one story They seemed suited, a good fit, as you said. Who knows what future RPing will bring?! If only we could have four characters... (I know: I'm soooo greedy!)

While Raven hasn't returned to the boards, I do have three characters Evelyn can meet for the first time: Easy "Cat" Tanner, Golden Hunt and Dorian Grayson. I definitely am open for RPing and have been doing a much steadier job of it lately.

At this stage, I'm not sure when Raven will return. I was working on another character for a whole plot, but he hasn't entered the scene yet.

I have many threads open if you feel like RPing.

Yes, we must needs do scenage! I think the only charrie of yours she's met is Lucian and that was brief, so she (and maybe he) probably won't remember it. I'm sure they'd have a pretty good conversation/time together.

Oh! I don't know which one to choose! Which charried do you want to use? Or like you said, we could do multiple! I'm so excited to write Evelyn again, but I'm really rusty :P
