Well uh....*waves* Hi! :angel1:

I don't exactly have a skill with photoshop and I can't promise how often I will come here to update because I'm not a computer graphic designer but I did make this wallie. I might make more.

For those of you who have read Susan Kay's novel, you'll know what I'm talking about in this wallie here. Basically, Erik, finds a Siamese cat named Ayesha. The picture in the center is Howard McGillin the latest Phantom on broadway at the Emmy Awards (I think) and he's with an actress from CATS because Phantom and CATS are the longest running broadway shows. Lion King characters on broadway are protrayed with their faces shown and in full costume (not corny costumes) - mythical costumes of the animal. The background image came from a deviantart user who has a picture of her and her kitten with the quote "Because we share life". Erik feels strongly for Ayesha not only because she accepts and loves him for who he is, but they both share life.

Well that is a most interesting take. I like the form Ayesha's in. God I wish I was artistically ingenious like you people!

Thanks Purple Martin!

Number 2 speaks for itself. Rarley, I must be honest, do I ever see pictures of Erik in wallpapers with his mask off. The lyrics are from Return To Innocence by Enigma.

WOw, those are really good! I especially like how you did Erik's deformity on the second one.
Really imaginitive.

agreed. It looks much more believable than the "sunburn" they tried to pass on the 2004 movie.

This amazing song is I Believe in You by Il Divo & Celine Dion. The lyrics are our feelings towards Erik. The lyrics and the wallpaper speaks for itself really. All images are drawn or photographed by deviantArt artists. None of these pictures are mine.

I made the pictures glow gold because "in spirituality, a gold aura is the color of enlightenment and divine protection. When seen within the aura, it says that the person is being guided by their highest good. It is divine guidance. Protection, wisdom, inner knowledge, spiritual mind, intuitive thinker." Madame Courier - Thank you so much! I hope this one will too :)

5. Soothed to Sleep by The Wilderness in The Magician.

This is from Ladysmith Black Mambazo's children's album The Gift of The Tortoise. I remember reading the part in Phantom where Nadir, Erik and the travel group stop to rest in a jungle. By the campfire, Nadir is afraid of the blinking eyes of the leopards and other animals. What if Reza or other children were along with them? This is what would happen. :) I changed the lyrics a bit to fit the story.

7. "He was leading two of the most beautiful horses I had ever seen, one black and one pure white, both mares, I noticed, each carefully groomed and bearing well- balanced packs, but no saddles or harness.

I asked him how he had managed to control the animals without a bit.

"I never use a bit," he said cooly. "It is an unnecessary cruelty. These horses choose to carry me, there is no question of control."

7. Man of Beauty.

It said in Phantom how animals always wanted to be with Erik. They sensed something about him that was alluring and beautiful.

I liked the one of Erik with the bird (I believe it was the second one) it took my breath away and it completely reminds me of Lion Kin ;) haha. So cool! I love how it seems like the soul of Erik watching over all animals. go animals and Erik!

I love these wallpapers! Especially the MotN theme and Hidden Grace. The colors compliment Erik's loneliness and longing to reach for something beyond his grasp.

Thank you :) Wow...that's an interesting way of interpretting it but I was really inspired by this latest wallpaper by the scene in the Susan Kay novel when Erik is in the shah's garden and he's observing the water droplets in the fountain.

I really love the one where you blended a horse and Erik's face. What program do you use? Do you use downloaded brushes? If so could you send a link of them :) *rejoices for animals*

Partricia - Thanks! :D I use Powerpoint lol.

9 - Angel of Night

I didn't write this poem. The text is Angel of Night by Wolfgang. (Not Mozart, I don't think.)

10 - Midnight Sonata

Remember the part in Phantom when young Erik sneaks off in the middle of the night to watch the fox cubs? Hearing the entrancing melodies of this extrodinary human, the mother fox feels safe that he will not harm her children. The cubs are entranced, too.

I was admiring the art but did have to give a warning: We aren't allowed to use the special banners here. Because they cause problems for people trying to load pages, we're restricted on size and type of banner. So, you might want to change your banner to an acceptable one to keep from getting reprimanded.

Also, in the art threads, they prefer we use links, not the full image, again for reasons of page loading.

I do like your art! I especially like "The Music of the Night" for its simplicity. "Hidden Grace" (I think it's called) is also very nice, as is the one with the child Erik and the wolves.

Now, I'm tempted to do some "wallies" again! I haven't done any for a long time, so it will be like learning all over again. I definitely need to find some interesting backgrounds because they really do a lot for the images placed on them, as is obvious by looking at your work. I love the "backdrops"!

Oh my! I must be in sleep deficit! Actually, there's little question of that when I mistake foxes for wolves. Of course, I do have that vision problem aka Mr. Magoo Syndrome. *giggle* That's why my graphics are so bright and full of contrasting colors: I make them so I can see them clearly. *sigh* It's bad news when you're nearsighted and the doctor says your near vision is going.

But, I still can appreciate artwork and plan to continue visiting.

Did you find out from a mod if you're to use a link instead of a full-size image? I didn't think we were allowed to do that in the art thread, but maybe they've changed the rules. I did want to give you the heads-up on the moving banners. I didn't realize they weren't allowed till an RP friend made a lovely, moving-hearts effect in one of my Golden Hunt banners. Gosh! It was soooo pretty and fascinating to watch! But, they explained that some PCs have trouble loading pages. I had to admit that mine was having problems at times.

Did you know that Josh was chosen for a recently introduced character? Yes! Kypton West looks AND sings like our lovely Josh, and he's been verrrrrry popular so far! If you couldn't tell, that means I like the JG banner a lot! It has a painterly quality to it, and I really like the effect.

Hi people, I know I haven't been here in a VERY long time. Cutting to the chase, here's my latest wallpaper.

13. Aren't They All Our Children?

I rode to the edge of the city, to the new slums where the impoverished had been driven by the high rents in the wake of Haussmann's ruthless sweep of rebuilding. Many of the Parisian poor were homeless now, wandering the streets like Arab nomads, in search of property within their means. I saw children sleeping in the gutters, wrapped in old newspapers, and my blood boiled at the sight of such cruel injustice. - Page 323 Phantom by Susan Kay
