View Full Version : The RP Character Question Game [2]

Christine's Shadow
10-23-2009, 04:42 AM
What's this? A new game? And it's with RP characters? I'm sure we all get a little curious about how other characters can react to certain questions sometime, so this is your chance to ask and find out. The rules are simple. I'll start with three questions, and you answer in character. You should try to answer all three, but if you can't think of anything for one, you can answer how many you can think of answers for. You can be as brief or long as you want. Then you ask up to three questions. When you answer, put the character's name you're answering in at the beginning. Like so...

Q: What's your favorite animal and why?

Xzavier Hazard: A leopard. I daresay their furs make the most exquisite rugs.

The answers can be witty or humorous, of course. But they should stay in character. Alrighty. Here's the very first set, and o'course, have oodles of joyous fun!

Q: Do you enjoy traveling? Where's your favorite place you've been so far?

Q: What physical feature are you most proud of and why?

Q: If I walked up to you and punched you in the face really hard, what would your reaction be?

last post:

What's your best talent?
I would like to think it's songwriting, but I think I'm better at the French horn. It's something I enjoy a tad bit more than the French horn, but since it's impossible to sing and play the horn at the same time, I think it comes down to a tie to the Piano and French horn.

What's your favorite hobby?
I would have to say talking nature walks through parks and excreta, it's just nice to feel the breeze again my face.

Are you any good at making costumes?
Considering that I used to do backstage work and prop crew and not costumes, I think that speaks for itself. I usually would stab myself by accident quite a few times.

What is the time of day where you feel the worst? The Best?
What is the number that seems to pop up the most in your life? Not necessary your favorite.

OOC: So no one else notices this...BIC:

What is the time of day where you feel the worst? The best?
I would have to say that mornings have gotten much better for me, but regardless I always feel good around ten to noon. I'm not sure why, probably because I'm up and running by the hour.

What is the number that seems to pop up the most in your life? Not necessarily your favorite.
I would have to say...nine. it just seems like it's always there.

Do you like harmony?
I enjoy listening to harmony...trying to work on the skill of harmonizing on the spot....I'm working on it, seriously I am.

What is the problem that you face?
What is a reoccurring theme in your life?
Did you have a fond memory of your childhood? A pet, a friend?

What is the problem that you face?
Talin: mostly decisions about my future.. I've worked so long to become a doctor now I don't know what aspect of the field I want to focus on.

What is a reoccurring theme in your life?
Kypton: I would say that constant change is a major theme in my life... I know everyone has some kind of change that they deal with but mine seems to happen every two or three months it seems.

Did you have a fond memory of your childhood? A pet, a friend?
Calvin: When I was a kid we had this stray cat on my street that we all called Sloan.. he was huge... and he didn't seem to belong to anyone either...

Do you prefer physical or verbal affection?

What do you consider a weakness of yours?
Grafton: Weaknesses? Why would I tell you those...that just makes me much more vulnerable as a person.

Do you prefer physical or verbal affection?
Gabrielle: Well, physical affection it depends...I guess verbal affection is something that is easier for me to handle so I don't feel too silly when I can't hold their hand anymore.

What do you think other people see when they look at you?
Gabrielle: Considering that I don't have that many friends...probably a cold or harsh expression?

Name three things that you've always wanted to do, but you never had the time to do.
Viktorio: Learn how to dance the Tarantella, go scuba diving, and learn Irish step.

Did your childhood affect your personality?
V: Yes. My childhood has made me what I am. Along with those who were around me in that time-frame.

Do you take good notes?
V: Not at all. I take down what I need to know and forget what is pointless.

If you were a flower what would you be?
Gabrielle: I would want to be a forget me not...but since everyone's bound to forget me at one point in time...I would want to be a Tigerlily.

Who is your greatest inspiration, why?
Grafton: Just to sound like I was listening in American Literature...I would have to say Robert Frost...straight forward guy. Just wrote in a weird style. With that said...Voltaire would have to be my favorite for his sarcasm. At least I wasn't of his time, it would have been offend if I meet him. He's probably someone in history that I've read quite a bit about actually. His humor is wonderful...if you're not the recipient of the joke that is.

What is your least favorite color?
Gabrielle: I've always despised pink and some yellows...only in nature I find them acceptable.

Arielle: It was the first thing I studied in my Infectious Diseases class in medical school.
Who would you be likely to walk into in the next few minutes?
Scarlett: Someone who needs something from me.*sigh*
What is the last thing you've said to someone?
Arielle: I told Grafton that I'd make him angry just for fun. *giggles*

Grafton: I'm not really sure. Probably winning that script award, but at the time it was pretty embarrassing. Tripping over that wire and cord...oh good times.

Do you have any phobias? What are they?
Gabrielle: Okay, fine! I'm a tad bit scared of the dark. It's just so confining regardless of what you see...

Name the clique you were with in high school.
Gabrielle: What clique I was in? I think I made my own by being the only outcast of the graduating class.

Kypton: No one really... I'm my own person I guess...

How did you figure out that your job is what you would be doing today?
Calvin: Well originally I went into the military for selfish reasons but now I genuinely love my job and realized when I came back from Iraq that I wanted to help people.

If you could remember something you had forgotten before what would it be?
Talin: I wish I could clearly remember a time when my family was happy and together.... before my father left us...

What is your favorite musical instrumental to listen to?
Gabrielle: Not to be biased...but the French horn. The cello is also nice, and the violin...oh I could go on forever you see. Music after all, is my life. Actually I just hate that quote enough to say that I believe it as well, but sadly it's the truth for me.

What is your favorite aspect of a carnival?
Grafton: I enjoy the atmosphere...it's like getting away from the real world...forgetting everything about the real world, and entering this entirely new place of imagination and wonder.

Do you have a significant other?
Gabrielle: Out of embarrassment I am not truly sure enough to say yes, but I would like to think that he cares...he's said so. I just doubt so easily...to easily. But well, to answer the question. Yes. Kip is a wonderful man...anyways I form tangents...

Calvin: Well with the nature of my work there is somethings that could have happened but I try not to think of that. I do have a family after all.

Do comments easily affect you?
Talin: No I tend to ignore other people's comments unless it's something I need to fix with a patient.

Are you easily embarrassed for something you didn't do?
Kypton: No... I figure if you didn't do something or it's something that you've already done there's nothing you can do to change it... why let it bother you?

Gabrielle: Yes but it was nothing fatal, promise. I guess, I wasn't paying attention to the road. I think I've driven only ten times after that accident...

Do you speak any other language?
Grafton: Your questions pretty open don't you think...any other language? Other than what? Well just to answer it as I should assume you mean any other language besides English, yes...well, no, really....does Pig Latin count?

Do you work out on a daily basis?
Gabrielle: No, but I do quite often go out for a walk after my day. Well, do the stairs leading to the roof's landing count? Those are a work out...almost.

Have you studied Shakespearian language?

Have you studied Shakespearean language?

Lamya, Shahnaz, Altair, and the other assassins: Yes, and our teacher threatened to stab us with his spear if we didn't pronounce words correctly!

What is the least favorite writing utensil in this world that you refuse to use? Seriously, everyone has one.

Lamya, and the other female assassins: Feather pens. For some reason our messenger birds seem to think that we're murderers when we use them! I mean, it's not like they're hawk feathers! Our messenger birds are hawks, so we'd never use their feathers for pens. Our birds will claw at our faces if we use them!

Do you tend to shy away when you are around people in general?

Lamya: Well, I love the family that I'm living with right now! People can be a pain though. Especially when they make you fight against your comrades by using an ancient artifact that gives it's possessor the power to control the minds of the people around him. Oh, and when you're on an assassination mission and they start running from you!

And that's Lamya and the other assassins for y'all! I'm in the midst of a private roleplay with Lady Of Music. It's based off Assassin's Creed I (a video game), Les Miserables, and Phantom. I also weaved in certain historical themes and a bit of fantasy/supernatural. It's basically the story of the destler family. Erik Destler falls in love with Rosalie De Chagny (Christine's daughter. There is an age difference in the couple, but it's no big deal to them). However, Rosalie is forced apart from her beloved Erik. Her parents basically imprison her and force her to court her friend, James Napier. Rosalie escapes and returns to Erik. The two marry and have twins, Loitea (a girl) and Philippe (obviously a boy). But the day after the birth of their children the twins and Rosalie get kidnapped by a professional kidnapper/assassin named Aali. Rosalie and her children survive years of abuse and then they escape back to Erik. But then James decides to do battle and try to kill all the people associated with the opera. The opera wins the battle, but Rosalie loses her father (Raoul). Her parents join the opera's side shortly before the battle. The people rejoice. Then Peter (Aali's son) falls for Loitea. Aali joins the opera's side because his children now work at the opera as musicians. He dies but the destler family forgives him in his final moments. Following that battle the family adopts a little girl named Sarah. Then Rosalie becomes pregnant again as sarah befriends a little kid 4 years older than her named gavroche. Then Rosalie and Erik learn that they are expecting another child. This child comes into the world with Erik's deformity. Not long after Michael is born Rosalie gets pregnant again. After Michael is born the will of Rosalie's father is finally read and Rosalie becomes Viscountess. She uses the money she inherits to finance the building of an orphanage after the twins get into an accident involving their carriage. The twins recover. Then Shahnaz (the daughter of the shah) tracks Erik down and tries to kill Erik, only to realize that she doesn't really want to kill him and be her father's puppet. Shahnaz gets exiled and then Erik adopts her. He later finds out that she is an assassin after her friend Altair (also an assassin) shows up and tells her that she has been order by the leader of the assassins to tell her new family who she is. After that Altair lives with Shahnaz and the Destler family for a while. Then Rosalie's old friend visits her. He tries to rape her, but is stopped by Altair and Erik. Then he tries to kill her and nearly succeeds, because Altair is unsure of whether or not to kill him since he was Rosalie's friend. Rosalie goes into a coma, and Altair believes he must take his adopted daughter aziza, the twins, shahnaz, magenta (peter's sister), peter, and Gwyneth on a quest to find his aunt (a well-known healer who has worked with the assassins) in order to get a medicine for Rosalie. Peter and Magenta get orders saying that they must tell Loitea's family that they are assassins as well. Philippe gets pissed and tries to separate Loitea from Peter. However, Rosalie recovers soon after they leave. The gang is caught in a centuries long war over an objects called Pieces of Eden. Khalid (an assassin gone rogue) has obtained one of them. He uses it to hypnotize over half of the other assassins into joining his force. He then proceeds to slaughter the lower-ranking students from this order of assassins. Erik finds out that his father wasn't really a stonemason, he was an assassin. Then Khalid decides that he wants to try to hypnotize Loitea into becoming a part of his army. He kidnaps Aziza and Loitea. Then several other assassins (Laila, Khadija, lamya, and Majid) join Altair and his group in an attempt to rescue them. And then they get hypnotized, but Loitea and Altair are able to resist the influence of the artifact to an extent. Rosalie and Erik leave Paris in a hurry after Rosalie senses that their children are in danger. Rosalie and Erik make it to england, where the battle is taking place. Loitea managed to destroy the artifact by resisting it's influence long enough to shoot at it, which caused an explosion. Then Altair finished of Khalid just before Rosalie and Erik found them. Then it was discovered that everyone else survived, which was cause for celebration. Rosalie agrees to let Altair, Laila, Majid, Lamya, Khadija, and Aziza live with them if Loitea agrees to certain conditions. Shahnaz and Altair get together. Then Loitea asks her parents whether or not they will approve of her being with Peter since he is, in fact, an assassin.

How often do you find something new about yourself?
Calvin: Evervyday, especially when it comes to my family... I surprise myself sometimes

Have you ever gotten lost in a city when you were a kid?
Aaron: Yeah. I have a big family and we were driving down to Disneyland from Utah, stopped at a casino in Vegas to ask for direction and we were so packed in our car that my parents didn't notice I was missing for like an hour... then my mom freaked out and they came back and got me... the manager was showing me a fish tank in his office... I was nine.

If you could be any animal what would you be? Why?
Gabrielle: Probably a bird of some sort. A duckling or a swan or even a goose, but I don't think I "squawk" that much...I think...

Do you think Pluto is a planet? Or do you agree with science?
Grafton:....You know when I was a kid it was a planet...I loved childhood. Not really, but I would like to still think that Pluto was one...no relationship to childhood though...

Gabrielle: To make myself feel better, since I've done that so many times, everyone accidently cuts themselves a time or two...but the most memorable ones are when I was a child...still have the scars too.
Do sounds like continuous tapping irritate you or can you ignore it?
Grafton: It depends... but sometimes it takes me time to realize that it was my own pen against the metal of the chair...then it seems unreasonable that I was frustrated...writer's block...it's when you think so hard you plug everything else out.

Lucian: My mind tries to work a way out of any problems I may have. I don't exactly have time to waste freezing.

Was there ever the time that you just couldn't help but be so...happy?

Lucian: I think it would be an extremely sad existence if you never had at least one of those moments. Thoroughly cliché though it may be, the one time that stands out in my mind as happy-- borderline giddy-- was the birth of my son. I also never bothered to conceal happiness when elected to office.

Calvin: I was coordinating a mission in Afghanastan. We were supposed to evacuate a village before any of our enemies showed up. While I was carrying a little girl who couldn't walk out of her house a truck nearby blew up and all hell broke lose. Somone on my team had tipped the enemy off, I realized later that he'd slinked away when my men and I had gone into the village to get everyone out... I can remember not wanting to lead missions after that.. it was one of the many reasons I returned to the states to go to school.... I never thought anyone coudl betray their own country like that but unfortunately I was wrong.

If at all that would take years to even enter my mind more of less his...at least I think. But I am sure that marriage is not really an idea in mind now. Later, who knows. What is your favorite holiday and why?
Gabrielle: I would have to say Christmas. The anticipation, the actual holiday and then just being able to realize how wonderful life is. Just like the movie, "It's a wonderful life."

You are locked in a starbucks...you have just time to take either all of the money in the cash register or all of the coffebeans and spices they have stocked before the cops come, which do you take?

Calvin: Well that's kind of a personal question. It really depends on who's betrayed me. Angery mostly at myself for not realizing that I should have seen it coming... should have looked for signs you know... that kind of self pity and what not.

Have you heard of CIrque Du Soleil?
Aaron: I know that it originated in Canada and that it means Circus of the Sun, I've never actually seen it though.

What is the problem in the world?
Kypton: I think people are jsut selfish to put it simply. They want what they want and don't care what they have to do or who they have to hurt to get it... not everyone but most of the society I've noticed is that way... when you live on the streets you notice stuff like that.

Madeleine: Maman. That was my first one, though-- if my mother is to be believed-- my first sentence was "Go away, Maman".

What is the first things you remember as a baby, toddler, child?

Lucian: Oh, God... I remember being five or six and going to the river with my dad. I'm sure it's probably several memories condensed into one, though.

Which is better book or the film or does it depend?
Grafton: Book...words are my life.

Do you prefer to go out with or with out make up, and why?
Gabrielle: I guess I do wear make-up not as often as I did in college...but I do just wear the basics. Foundation, simple eye shadows, mascara on the rare occasion...colored lip balm is a must for me if that counts as make-up.

Which do you prefer: crayons or colored pencils?
Grafton: Colored Pencils...those just seemed to smooth over easier than crayon. The quality is better as well.

If you were told to choose between romance or security, which would you pick in a spouse?
Gabrielle: I can't always take care of myself, but I've managed for the past 14 years that I've been alone. I guess romance since it was so new to me. Security is something, in my opinion, that connects with the romance that I'm in. I just feel safer than I've ever been alone, with my parents...anywhere.

Have you ever licked a frozen pole?
Grafton: Don't tell my mom that's why my tongue looked purple...I told her it was grape juice...I was eleven...what was I going to do?

What was the stupidest grudge you've had?: Charlotte: Well, it would have to be once in the seventh grade. This kid in my class stole my favorite pencil, the one I did all my designs with. I confronted him about it, but as he was handing it to me, some other kid bumped into him, and the pencil crashed into the floor (it was a very fragile mechanical pencil). Of course, if he hadn't taken it, nothing would have happened. I hated that kid for the rest of my school career!

Do certain people appeal to you?: Charlotte: Um, certain people? *confused* Oh. OH! You mean guys, right? How they look or personality wise, or something? Um, I don't know. I've only got one guy in my life right now, even though he's all the way over in jolly old England. I guess the sensitive type. Good looking, but not ripped. Artistic, like me! How would you describe your significent other? Twenty words or less.
Gabrielle: Kip is wonderful, sweet, handsome...he makes my worst days somehow better...he's my everything. I don't really think there are enough words that can describe him. Besides, I can't even fit the twenty word limit...and I usually can be concise...that's saying something.

Compared to childhood and now, what contrasting feelings do you get when you get mail?

Seraphine: Do you mean... 'ow do you English say... 'snail mail'? Ah, oui, when I was trop petite, I would only ever get a letter from my Grandmama on my birthday, which would always be accompanied by le couture d'Italie. So, you see, I was quite excited when I would receive a letter, as for me it meant new clothes to add to my wardrobe. Now, 'owever, mail does not mean so much. I still get a letter from Grandmama, but no more clothes. I would need a second closet to 'old the excess.

Are you a disaster in the kitchen?

Seraphine: Disastre? ...I would say that is a little 'arsh, mais... oui, I am not so good with the cooking, and the making meals. What can I say, the chef would always kick me out of the kitchen, and the sous chef despised me almost as much as rats, so I was not welcome in the kitchen to learn such things. I fear it will come to... 'ow you say: bite me in my behind.

Who was your first kiss? Do you still know them?

Seraphine: Ugh! What a 'orrible question. My first kiss was a short, bespectacled boy w'o my parents thought would be a 'suitable match for me to keep up my lavish style-de-la-vie'. 'E came on much too strong and 'e was a slobbery, drool-y young man. I would do anything to wipe this from my memory. 'E still pesters my family from time to time, but I 'ave managed to avoid making a face to face meeting since. Thank the Lord.

What are your religious views, if you have any? Why?
Gabrielle: I was raised with two religions which bother...unappealing. I didn't like being forced into both since they wanted me to choose from one...and technically that was being forced into both. I eventually just drifted off...but if anything I guess Christianity fits...and is...something I can understand...well, it's better than two religions done your throat at once.

When you are upset and/or frustrated and you need to be alone, where do you go?
Grafton: I probably would sit in a corner and just trying to rationalize my mind out trying to see what's up...

Describe a perfect evening for you.
Gabrielle: Well, cooking dinner with Kip and fooling around laughing and teasing each other. then probably we'd playing around with music. Probably just playing silly melodies back at each other: him on the piano and I'd try to switch back, but since the French horn is in F, it takes a few seconds to transpose and with the violin, I'm just getting a hand of it. Or we would work on a song or fix a few knots in a piece either of us are working on. We critique each other's work...or sometimes if I'm lucky he would play a he was writing or working on.

1. Do you prefer peanuts or cashews?
Adeline: I'm not a huge fan of nuts of any sort, to be honest.

2. Where is your favorite place in Paris?
Victorine: Well, I'd tell you the truth, but then I'd have to kill you.

3. What color is your toothbrush
Adeline: Light purple and white. And Calvin's is blue. ...there's nothing wrong with brushing my kitty's teeth.

1. How are you today?
Grafton: Pretty good, I finished my articles for the next two days and now I'm just relaxing and such.

2. If you died right now, would you be happy with your life?
Josue: Well, I mean...wow, heavy stuff huh? I guess, yeah. I just wanted to live decently and I like what I have now. It's simple, not to elaborate, not to safe...yeah, I enjoy life, so hopefully I don't die so, because I'd like to continue to live it out...but to answer your question, yeah, I'd be happy.

3. Coffee or tea?
Demetria: Tea. Coffee is good, but some people put too much cream, too much sugar...tea is very nice and calm and it's pretty soothing to drink compared to coffee which usually gives me a headache after a while.

Do you think the world will end in 2012?
Sarah-No, the assumption that it will because a calandar ended is quite simply absurd.

What was your senior prom theme, and did you like it?
Sarah-Actually I'm only a junior, and besides my mother is homeschooling me.

How would you spend a weekend? (Where ever you want.)
Sarah-To be honest I would spend it performing, I don't even need to be paid for it, I would just want to be singing.

What is your favorite song to sing to? (Even if you don't sing to it well.)
Who would you like to meet? (Dead or alive.)
What is your favorite musical quote?
