My Dear fellow fans,

I'm going to get married coming summer and we will have a masquerade ball.
As my wedding suit I will have the Red Death movie costume made by professional costume designers. the costume will be exact to the smallest detail and fabric. As far as we can see in the reference.

As reference I have high definition stills of each frame from the movie.
Does anyone have different reference pics or design sketches? They are allways welcome.

Maybe some people are also interested to get one made? (aprox. price 2.500,- euros)

If there is some interest then i will post pictures of the progress of my suit during the next months.

I can't wait to have it finished!

Dear fellow fans,

Here is the sculpt I'm working on for the mask of the Red Death costume. Because I made it to fit my face so it is slightly different in shape but I try to stay as close to the original as I can.

Anyway let me know what you think.

Wow, this seems like a phantastic idea, but I can't access the pictures.

It sounds like a wonderful idea and I'd totally like to see the pictures. A PotO wedding! What a dream!

strange maybe the files are to big (in the upload screen for attachments it says that attachments can maximum be 19.5kb, that seems very low to me). I don't get why it doesn't work.

So I uploaded them in my photo album, so go take a look there if you're interested.

I just saw them and I must say...

That's so awesome! It looks exactly like the original mask (well, minus the color, of course. :) ) Those designers are good.

What costume will your bride be wearing?

Yeah, is your bride just wearing a normal wedding dress or is she wearing a replica of Christine's wedding dress?

sorry that I only reply now.
My bride will wear a normal wedding dress but a classic cut so that it will look good together.

By now I have been to the designers and we chosen the finest Italian fabrics we could find.
the only problem is the fabric of the under jacket(gold with red dots)(any suggestions of where to find it would be appreciated). It's impossible to find and I'm afraid that I will have to choose another one (probably just gold).

Next time that I will go to my designers will be somewhere in May. then the first cut of the suit will be ready for me to try on and a sample of the stitching. Ofcourse I will make some pictures and post them here.

I also finished the mask and here are some pics of it.

That looks amazing!! How did you make it? and is it very hard to do? I want my boyfriend to do this costume as I already have Christine's dress form the ball done. He was going to find a place to see if he could get it made, but I know if he knew how to make it he could do it himself. Since he makes like props and such for his larps and made a bow for me for a costume. I can't wait to see images of the outfit it self, and of the wedding.

I posted the pics of the costume on photobucket. just use the previous link.

The mask I made with sculpting and real silicone molds as I myself work in the moviebizz.
But the costume itself is made from very expensive fabrics and old sewing tricks (based on an old oficer coat). That's why I desided that it would be better of in the hands of designers.
I oversaw the whole project and made a few adjustments to the movie suit (fabric of the gilet because the dotted silk wich was in the movie was impossible to find).

The stitching is not perfectly simular, but that was very difficult for the designer and had to be handsticht by monks.
