But, I'm trying, and I hope that I don't have more zapped posts. ***knock on wood***

Hooray! Dorian's kerala houseboat has been approved! Who will be his first guest? Sometime, I'd love to have a party there. Surely it will do better than Easy's disastrous housewarming party. At least Dorian could shrug it off and figure he doesn't have to buy liquor and food for a while.

Anyway, I'm trying my best to get caught up. I was going to yesterday, but a big storm blew through and knocked out power, internet, etc for most of the day, so that plan went out the window. That being said, today I'm going to try to post for everyone, and actually STAY CAUGHT UP! Usually I'm much better at it, but life has been busy and I haven't been in much of an RPing mood when I do have time, not really sure why. I'd like to thank all of you who I'm RPing with for your patience with me--I'll try to do better, I promise! I've already posted for Cassie and I think I just need to reply to Mysti's and Rose's posts for me.

I'm going to set up Easy at Franconi's Stables for that meeting with Madeleine.

I'm enjoying all of the stories! Thanks to everyone for helping me get back into the RPing habit. With luck, I'll get to NO, Poppy. I hope! I hope!

We have sort of struck out twice with Easy and Rafael, meaning they didn't get to spend much time together due to various reasons. So, we could have them meet a third time, or he could encounter Golden and/or Dorian.

It's the same with the other two. I'm open a lot of places still.

I think I messed up in the Kitchen, or did we end that? Things were crazy for a while. I know that Easy was coming off the attitude and sampling Bill's cooking though he's not too enthusiastic about eating. So, will these two meet again? Or, will it be someone else?

Has Ashton encountered any of my three? Sometimes my memory is rather hazy.

Meanwhile, I owe only two posts, both to Natalia, and I need to do that opening scene at Fanconi's Stables. I still might try an open post at Dorian's Domicile. So, who will visit first? I was wondering about Madeleine since they're getting acquainted in the Kitchen, where eventually he will read the letter telling him about his new home. Hooray!

Sorry I've been lurky lately-- as geeky as it sounds, the new Harry Potter film ended up keeping me very busy. Well, okay, so my friends and I prepping for and going to the new Harry Potter film kept me busy. I digress, as per usual.

I'm trying very hard to get caught up and have managed to post some scenes, including the opening for William at the Bois with Easy and Eden; Dorian to Chianna at the Lake Underground; and Dorian/Erik to Marina at Note Bleue.

I owe quite a number of scenes now, either opening ones (such as Easy/Madeleine at Franconi's Stables, someone with Valtar, Easy & Eden/Ashton at the library) or responses. I'll be up for several more hours, so I should be able to accomplish more. I did have a troublesome time for a while that makes me edgy; I might have to call tech support to have something checked. With luck, I can do some scenes that won't get zapped.

I am trying! I used to be such a speedy writer. I'm not sure what happened.

I'm past my 50-post mark and definitely should be able to get to 75 or perhaps more by August 4, thanks to the wonderful responses. I'm still working on my response speed. I hope everyone will be patient with me. I ran into a rough day or two in which I haven't been clearheaded enough to do much writing. I'm hoping that Wednesday will be more productive for me. It's been so terribly hot, even with the air conditioning, that I've slept very little, and pain has been extreme. But, I'm determined to catch up AND do those other posts I've promised, where we're setting up more scenes.

Natalia: I have the Golden/Evea post under way, but this is a tough one! Golden's instinct is to part ways, but we'll see how he works through this. It would be interesting if he met Evrard to have a man-to-man talk.

I got one done! And it was ever so much fun. :) I'll admit, the temptation to work on the Rouge post was overwhelming. That said, I've realized I need to watch some clips of burlesque dancers before writing it, and I'm currently at work, so...yeah. I imagine the kinds of dances Rozaliya would do are a bit NSFW. Read: I'm a scaredy cat when it comes to getting caught at work doing stuff I shouldn't be doing. But! I did pick out her costume. (I think.)

At any rate. I posted for Cyn, and I have about a paragraph done for Roza/Chianna. Look at me, being 1/3 of the way caught up!

I've also maybe perhaps been browsing sites for what Rozaliya can wear to the Steampunk soiree. I found something reaaaaaaalllllllly good. It's TOTALLY Roza. That said, my little minx can't attend the event unless it's as someone's date. (Since she's not technically an employee of the opera house.) So...gotta figure that one out.

I am sooooo curious about the costumes because I've seen some amazing ones while searching for my guys. I think I've settled on somewhat sedate outfits they can accessorize Steampunkily. Maybe I can do some banners. Last night, I put the three costumes on a wally on my art thread. Will there be changes between now and then? Welll, Easy generally is the fussiest. I really wanted him to take a chance with that extreme outfit. Coward!

By the way: I love that Damien is fearful of so much. If Easy knows about this, it might make him relax because he's such a worry wart, afraid of heights, of what people think about him, etc.

I'm sorry I haven't been around, but I don't think I owe anywhere but at the Soiree, in the courtyard. I need to respond to that tonight~if the event is still under way. A lot of things have caused interference, including lots of laptop problems. I've been having it checked out periodically by the tech guys at ConCom, a service I pay extra for with my phone bill. They seem to be of more help than Norton was. ***knock on wood*** But, I've been having major difficulties. Natalia knows from my messages that I've had posts zapped before I could submit them, sometimes as many as four times. *sigh*

I've been toying with two ideas:
1) I finally would like to introduce my good/bad guy if I can finish his profile. He's been especially stubborn and keeps putting off his entrance.
2) I wonder if I could get a meeting between Golden (who is a part-time stagehand) and Santiago because my generally peaceful guy seems to be getting it into his head that he wants to become better with a gun than his usual simple target practice and perhaps pick up some pointers about what to do if he should be confronted with any of Evea's foes/pursuers.

Ooh! I have such guilts! However, I do have good reasons for not being here, ranging from major problems with my laptop to nursing a 2-month-old kitten who seemed to be doing OK but can't seem to gain weight. Her name is bigger than she is but suits her: Angelina Thumbelina. She needs a lot of holding and comforting, as our front-porch cat Sophie stole her from somewhere then abandoned her with us, which she's done several times before. I'm trying to get back into writing while I still owe only a couple of posts.

A new character I would be interested in...? I'm soooo curious, KT! Hmmmm... Will Cat find him interesting? *giggle* Are we going to continue Easy and Rozaliya's meeting in the subway?

Speaking of Cat: I'll be looking forward to him visiting Jean at his home. He definitely will be intimidated as he mentally compares Sanctuary to such an elegantly decorated place.

But no really, I know Cat has a very specific taste in gentlemen, and my Nero fits quite well in that capacity. (Huck-huck-huck, dirty.) I have his stats and vitals all filled out. Just have to write the history portion of his bio. And also: YES! Yes, to everybody I'm in a scene with! I do wish to continue our interaction! Like I said previously, I usually focus all my attention on special gala events, but Rozaliya WILL make her triumphant return to regular RPing.

That said, I'm having surgery next Wednesday which means I'll either get lots of writing done during that time...or none at all. Depends on how I'm feeling. :)

I tried to do some writing last night, but my laptop decided to do some weird things, that or the Net connection. It wouldn't let me post! I tried a couple of other places it let me get to, and there were some odd things happening there, too.

Natalia: I managed to save just a bit of the Courtyard/Soiree scene, meaning it will take me awhile to reconstruct it. I hope I can do that this evening. The kitten is doing better, so we don't have to hover as much. ***knock on wood***

Er...does anyone remember me? College ate my life. I had/am having a VERY hard time adjusting to life as a college freshman. So, to help de-stress me, I'm going to attempt to come back here. Daroga: I definitely am ready! I've had a writer's block inching in, which was due to all of the worries that life can bring. I'm ready to do some writing and, as of this moment, am working on the Soiree post in the Courtyards. I'm determined to keep writing, even if I have to pepper the threads with open posts, inviting anyone interested to respond. I do have a lot of stories underway, and I am interested in ALL of them. So, whenever anyone can continue, I'll be happy.

This week is filling up with errands, but I intend to resist being too distracted.

I need to PM, but I'm still curious about the possibility of Golden having a heart-to-heart talk with Santiago about something troublesome and potentially very dangerous. Golden is showing signs of shedding his boyish enthusiasm and getting tough.

I'm guilty of not being on-site. I owe Natalia at least two posts I think.

I did set up Easy at Jean's door.

I'll be happy to pick up all encounters where we left off. I'm hoping we can get Dorian his first guest at his new home someday. The story was moving along, then came the event.

Some stories might be too far gone. For example, I had Easy encounters at the park, at Jardin and in the library, where he is accompanied by Eden.

I'm staying up for as much of Encore's LOTR marathon as I can. I'm sacrificing three tapesful of TV episodes, including Angel because it's safest to fit one movie on one tape due to the length. Yes, I tried recording them before, but that didn't quite work out. So, as I'm watching the quest, perhaps I can do those Cara/Easy and Evea/Golden scenes.

Meant to tell you Cyn... I lost that post. Log out while posting. And then for this weekend's holiday I went to a remote cottage in Virginia. Great for family reunions, crappy for any sorta wifi (or cell reception). And I typed the original in a fit of inspiration that I'm trouble recreating now but working on now... I hope to have it up this evening. I really am looking forward to this scene, I promise.

So, does anyone remember me? I was semi-active over the summer and then just vanished when I started my extremely stressful, homesickness-filled, not very good first semester of college. :/ Things are improving, but only slightly. I'm crossing my fingers that I can maybe be semi-active here again. I just posted for Mysti at the Seine for Golden and Tess, and I'm not sure if I owed anyone else, would you lovely people care to remind me? I'm also up for starting some new stuff if anyone's interested. If this semester has taught me anything, it's that I need writing in my life to keep me sane!

Poppy: Fellowship will be starting in about 10 minutes, and the laptop is right in line with the screen. So, this should be an interesting writing session. I'm excited because these are going to be extended editions! If I'd wanted to, I could have started watching the films Friday, as they're making this a three-day marathon celebrating the 10th anniversary of the trilogy. I'm happy that you want to continue the Golden/Theresa meeting!

I finally got my bowed psaltery practice underway; I've been procrastinating horribly, and the Christmas concert is rushing at me: December 10. It's going to be rough because my younger sister died December 9, 2010. So, if I can play music, watch Tolkienesque epics and RP, perhaps I'll make it through.

Daroga: I definitely understand losing posts! That has happened to me far too often. I think my record is four times. I'll be waiting with great curiosity.

Alas, I do not get that channel, but I do own all three EEs on DVD, so I'll be all right. Have you seen the extendeds before? I adore them..as Dominic Monaghan once said in an interview, "It's the only way to get it."

In an attempt to make this post at least slightly on topic, Mysti, do you have anymore character meetings you might want to set up with me? I can't remember any of the plots we had before my hiatus, so I figure it's best to just start afresh.

I think I've seen one extended edition, which I recorded. But, this is the first time any movie channel has aired all three, end to end, AND that they are the extended editions. So, yes, I'm very excited and wonder if I'll spot the new stuff. *bliss*

Theresa can meet Easy, of course, but I'm not sure if she wants to meet my roguish Dorian, especially because I never know who he's going to be. Occasionally, he surprises me by being "just" Dorian, not that that is anymore honest than his other persona. I generally have a lot of luck with Easy, for, as you know from Nouvelle, he can be good with people, getting them to open up and often opening up too much personally. I'm sure I have a number of places still available.

GUESS WHO JUST POSTED FOR HER VERY MOST FAVORITE CYN! I did! It was me! *bounces* Writing about Cat made me really want to get my potential second character up and running, but with all the catching up I have to do for Rozaliya it's probably not a good idea just yet. But Cyn, just bear in mind that when I finally finish Nero I DEMAND lots of plots with you. And by plots I mean some good old-fashioned RP sexin' drama lol.

As for where delicious Aurrie/Roza interaction shall take place...that's a tough question. My baser instincts want a meet-up at one of their apartments (though Roza's place is only just in the process of being created), but perhaps to hold off the inevitable bed-thumpings maybe it should be somewhere more public. You guys had mentioned a Moulin Rouge thing which I would be more than happy to oblige. I kind of really want Aurrie to see Roza's performance. ;)

Also Sam Sam Spamalicious Samantha, would Arianne perhaps recognize Rozaliya from her prevailing pornographic pursuits?

Many thanks for the posts! Suddenly, I'm behind in posting, but I don't mind at all! Golden has a tough situation with Evea that will have us exploring their relationship further. It's really making my Golden boy grow up rather quickly.

I'm so happy that the Easy/Rozaliya scene is continuing, as I would love these two to have more time together, particularly because Easy has been alone too much of the time since his two housemates left sometime back. I'm considering whether Eden should stay around longer or not. THAT would be strange: Rozaliya meeting Easy's son. As for the new character... I'm mindbogglingly intrigued by your description! I cannot lie: Easy is my favorite character to work with because he continues to be somewhat unpredictable. He DID want to glom onto Rozaliya, as he has done to people in the past, but he really has been trying to be less emotional. (Like THAT could happen!) I'm sure the embrace is going to linger, not necessarily from the potential sexiness of it but mainly because Cat is very~ummm~tactile and craves physical contact, which he's had very little of unless he goes prowling. Let's just say that his previous melting point likely has decreased so that a handshake is practically enough to make him swoon. (We have a new kitten, and, when she cuddles with the others, I think of how Cat can be.)

I'm working on the Easy/Jean scene. I'm not surprised that he is overwhelmed by the situation, as it's been something he dreamed of. Will it be one of those "Be careful what you wish for..." occurrences? I'm quite curious as to what is going to transpire and how much fireworks might occur.

I also need to have Golden respond to Theresa. Will she join him at the movie theater? She's welcome to do that. I have an open post for him there.

Somewhere back there, long ago, Easy has owed Cara a response~unless the two of them meet somewhere else at a much-later time. Whichever you would like to do is OK with me.

I wasn't sure if I should post my list to refresh memories or not worry about it right now. I DO want to continue ALL stories. And, I'm interested in having Dorian meet more people. A Dorian/Rozaliya meeting could be very interesting, don't you think? It could be amusing to have her meet my all-American, rather wholesome Golden, too, who happens to be Marina's friend. Rozaliya saw him talking to Marina at the soiree, but they didn't get to meet.

OOh! You keep teasing me with this Nero! Maybe I need to rethink Easy's wardrobe~find him something more-dazzling. Of course, Easy isn't often adventurous about clothing even if Rozaliya was complimentary about his style. That's exactly what Easy has been seeking~unsuccessfully in his eyes: a sense of style beyond Alleycat or orchestra.

Meanwhile, I have some catching up to do! First up should be Golden/Evea since we need to know what state of mind they'll be in at the Christmas event. Golden can be moody! I didn't know he had it in him. Of course, he's a relatively new character, so he's very likely to have some surprises. However, I didn't know he would grow up quite this fast though he does seem to be rather like his old self with Theresa/Tess.

Yes, KT Mae, I am up for some steamy plottage!

I'm relieved that I got Easy through a post at Jean's place. Will there ever be a day when he achieves any self-confidence beyond playing the violin? Even then, he's sure that all of the others are better than he is.

Sure -- I actually have to update his profile because James and Arianne are fine, Arianne's new and not much has changed for James, but Luc is with Phoenix Mercer now, and they have a little girl, Lucy Madryd Danier, so there's a lot going on with him right now that would make him surly, moody, angry, happy, tired, etc. lol. He's an emotional roller coaster.

Can they meet somewhere in the opera house? I'm only in the courtyards right now so anywhere else inside is good for me. I'm not sure where you are.

I have a janitor, too! Dorian is a rascal, definitely not the submissive type but interested in anything breathing and at least relatively desirable (which covers a lot of territory). Yes, he hits on everyone though he's rather sneakier about it with males unless he detects interest. On the job, he plays down his looks since he uses his work to pilfer as much as possible.

We KNOW Nero is going to eventually encounter Easy, whether at Nothing Special or Opera Populaire. The latter might be a good place to start. I can say that he would be the type to intimidate Easy, not awaken his flirtatious mode~unless circumstances are just right.

Now, I'm going to try very hard not only to keep up but also to write some open posts for anyone interested.

Sam, James and Nero would be hiiiiigh-larious together. I honestly have no idea how Nero would react to Mr. Sawyer, other than with sheer amusement. Maybe hit on him for shiggles. Dorian would be a toss-up; it would be fascinating to see them together, though Nero's not totally whorish (Rozaliya would be upset if I made another character trying to usurp her role). But he is SO ABSOLUTELY going to be into Easy because he's just Nero's type. Which is actually pure coincidence because I created Nero for another board a very long time ago and while I changed a lot of his personality and history, I didn't change his taste in men.

I'm throwing Nero into the Christmas Ball frenzy...though I'm kind of hoping he has someone to accompany him? Not Easy though because I want to actually RP their first encounter. :D

I'm pretty sure if Nero hit on James, James would be horrified. Then intrigued. Then horrified. Like an endless cycle lol. He'd be really uncomfortable but at the same time having repressed those urges will have made him not want to blow him off (or will it HAH double entendre). Sorry guys, couldn't resist!
