Hello Everyone. I just popped in for a moment to make my introduction. I am a huge Phantom fan. Fan of the book mostly. I do enjoy the musical but not so much the movies. I love the original, it fallowed the book. I enjoyed the recent movie based on the musical, even if the actor for Erik couldn't hit all the notes perfectly, he does an alright job. Just saying, he's not Crawford. Most of the movies bug me, mainly for a small reason. Erik is born deformed, not splashed with freaking acid. I know it's a bit of a neurotic complaint. But I don't believe it's too much to ask for them to fallow my favorite novel to a T. lol
I'm usually not so bad about movie translations of novels, but that one I am.


At the moment I am trying to find a good book that expands on the Phantom's back story. I know that there is one with "The Phantom" by Susan Kay. But I am looking for the best telling of said back story. Anyone know of others please don't hesitate to message me. :)

Hello and welcome to the site.
I have seen one of the other phantom movies thanks to my father and his love for old movies but I first got into the phantom through the newest one.

I have read little bits of the books but nothing in the whole as I haven't had the time yet but already I do know what you mean by changes.

I did hear that they are thinking of bringing out a second movie to follow the first and I also believe they are doing a follow up show (I'm not sure if they ARE yet just read about it)
