For those of you just discovering Patrick Wilson via viewing the 2004 movie of "Phantom", there are some other wonderful cd's on the market that have featured this talented actor/singer.
One title in piticular is the 2000 studio cast recording of "Lucky in the Rain",co-starring Barbara Cook and featuring the music of Jimmy McHugh, Dorothy Fields, and Harold Adamson. This cd is on the DRG records label, it retails for $10.99.
This is a WONDERFUL COMPACT DISC to have and Wilson displays his beautful voice here.
Originally Wilson appeared in the above title at the Goodspeed Opera House in Conn in 1998, but didn't record the studio album untill 2000. Wilson was the only original cast member to appear on the above cd.
It's remarkable that only ten years after Wilson graduated from Carnagie Mellon, (1995), he has become a major star of stage and screen, which is very rare in these times. The ink on his diploma was not even dry before he got his first job as an actor. I will add more titles here as they become available, or when I hear of others from good friends, who like myself, are broadway FREAKS. The above title is highly recommended!. If your just starting your Patrick Wilson cd collection, this is the one to have.
