This One's FOr The Girls is sung by Martina. I love her Blessed song/video to! There is a kid who's dad isd ead, the kid has a bad leg, and mother has to work 2 jobs. Martina watched over him while mom was gone, and at the end, they moved away, and the kid gave Martina and her child a piece of paper that says "I love you. I will never forget you." and a drawing of them on the paper. SO SAD!!!
How can you NOT like Rascal Flatts?
I don't like Rascal Flatts because they sound too.....I don't know, unreal.
*cough* I knew that....see, another reason to love Martina McBride.
I like Bryan Adams, too. I can play Summer of '69 on the acoustic guitar.

I adore Summer of '69! One of my favourite songs, and certainly Brian Adams best song, as far as I'm concerned.
Also love Francis Black - my mum has a CD of her songs, and her voice is so mellow and melodic that I can't help but love her stuff! XD Especially the song, 'Don't be a stranger'...for some reason it calls out to me. I guess some songs do that to you. ^_^

Has anyone heard of George Strait? He's an older country singer, he has about 52 Number One Hits!! One of my favorite songs by him is I Cross My Heart (Which I will play at my wedding if, for some strange reason, someone will put up with me long enough to consider marrying me...:D)

Oh yeah! george strait is awsome! :hearts:
My mom and dad went to a George Straight concert last Saturday.
I like that guy. Alan Jackson's coming to town soon and I'm praying for tickets! I love him! his songs are all just very good. Amanda Wilkonson and Big & Rich are coming with him, with a surprise guest.
I'd looooove to see Toby Keith in concert!
Hey Caroline, you know I love you more than phluphphy bunnies, but try to lengthen your posts a tad sweetie? !0 words or less is considered spam

I went to George Strait Concert... two years ago, I think. When my dad proposed to my mama, he sang "You're something special to me" at a Kareoke bar. Then, after they split-up and he married my step-mom, thier wedding sing was "Carried Away". Both were George Strait number one hits!
Has anyone seen the movie George Strait starred in (Pure Country). The Opening songis sung by George and one if his sons. It's a really good movie. George isn't a great actor, but the movie was good, and the sound track was beautiful.

I've grown up in the Southern United States (namely, Texas) so I was raised on country music. Country music and 80's rock. *cough*
In any case, George Strait is my dad's favorite artist, which is something we tease him about non-stop, though no one in our family hates George. It's just every time he comes on the radio, my dad makes us all be quiet and reverent so he can "sing" along.
My personal favorites are Rascal Flatts, Martina McBride, Faith Hill, Tim McGraw, and Keith Urban. Though I have a soft spot for John Michael Montgomery because I can remember listening to tapes of "Grundy County Auction" when I was like, five or something, in the car when we would travel.

Country music is awesome. I love Josh Turner and Rascal Flatts and I idolize Sarah Evans. I grew up on country music and have noticed that, in recent years, it's getting to be more and more mainstream, which is fine by me.

I started listening to country music a while ago...like a few months ago, and I really like it.
I have ALWAYS loved Keith Urban, even before I started listening to country music.
Well...Toby Keith rocks, Gary Allen <3, Tim McGraw, Carrie Underwood, Faith Hill, Sarah Evans, Josh Turner, The Wreckers, The Dixie Chicks, and so many more that I can't even think of. "Trying to Stop Your Leaving"...whoever sings that.
Gary Allen's "Learning How To Bend" is my favorite country song EVA! And "Watching Airplanes" is amazing, too.
I kinda like Rascal Flatts, *go ahead and shoot me* My sister is madly in love with them. Some of their songs I hate, like "Me and my Gang". But the rest of them are pretty much fine, I suppose.
I have heard of George Strait, but could tell you any of his songs off the top of my head. I have probably heard lots of them, though.

That's what it's like with George. You either like him, love him, or hate him. Its almost impossible to be indifferent. My sister, mom, and I like him. But dad on the other hand, is almost obsessed. Which I find funny....
Trying To Stop You're Leavin' is by Dirkes Bently, I believe....
The Wreckers I hate. That's not Country. I grew up listening to the stuff and the songs on their CD are Pop. Not Country. I understand that they were pop singers. But unless they were really versitle singers, then they shouldn't go country. It's like why Emmy Rossum shouldn't go back to opera. She's not teh most versitle singer out there.
The Dixie Chicks I used to like, but their political issues are what bother me. Their music used to be fine, but it when downhill when the pop records wouldn't take them in when the country fans rejected them.
But give me any country singer, and I can rant and rant about them. I practically love them all. Except Taylor Swift. Don't ask me why. She's 16 and popish. Now I'm not saying young singers can't be successful. Look at LeAnn Rimes. She started out at 13 and she's like 27 now and uber famous. But Taylor Swift is... I dunno too Aly&AJ for me. *cringe*
But I love Blake Shelton, Gary Allen, Josh Turner, Direks Bently, GArth Brooks, Some George Straight, Carrie Underwood, Rascal Flatts, Kenny Chsney *melts* LeAnn Rimes, Martina McBride, and many many many many more. Just give me ANY country singer and I'll tell you if I like them or not.
My Grandmother has a few videos of me when I was four singing Wynonna songs in her livingroom. My Wynonna obsession has died down, but I still love listening to her music.

George Strait will always be my favorite! I have a George CD in my truck now. It's really the best thing for me to listen to while driving, it sorta relaxes me. And one of his newer songs, "I Saw God Today," has to be one of the most beautiful songs I've heard in a while.
As for Taylor Swift, I like her songs, but I don't know if she could be considered country. "Teardrops on my Guitar" is one of my favorite songs. It kinda reminds me of my obsession with my best friend, Wesley... except that the reason we're not together is because he refuses to date... It sucks, but it's kinda my theme song.

I listen to CMT every morning while getting ready.
Some of my fave artists are: Rascal Flatts, Taylor Swift, Toby Keith (He's my crush!), Carrie Underwood, and there are too many others to put here.
Country makes up about 95% of the 177 songs currently on my Ipod.

I can tolerate Country music, but I can't listen to it day in and day out. It's just that I need my daily dose of rock and metal. I just get confused when they call it Country and then coutnry rock on some other stations and then etc etc etc!! It just changes from place to place. For ex: Carrie Underwood is country rock while Chris Daughtry (is he country at all if not country rock) is flat out country...to me, from what I know of music, they radio stations need to establish a certain type of music to just call country.
I enjoy Carrie, Taylor on the so-so occasion, and Rascal Flatts are my favorite!

I have loved country since I was in the 5th grade. There are some songs that just get to me, like the song "God's Will" by martina. It's because I studied and volunteered at a riding place for disabled kids. The song "Who You'd Be Today" also gets me as well because it's about what the singer/songwriter felt when several of his friends died at a young age. I know what that's like...a little too well.

has anyone heard of Blake Shelton....he's amazing. He sang the country version of Home, Wildflower, Holes on the Floor, Old Red....I just love his voice! Also Garth Brooks.
Does anyone find the name Gavin Rossdale familiar?
