Hey all, I need your opinions on this. I have to draw an animal in a night scene for my art class, and I'm doing a frog in the wet grass in the moonlight. I just began it today, so its only a beginning sketch, but I really need opinions on how it looks. Please be honest, as I am trying to get the best grade possible on this piece of art. Thanks again.

Thanks. This was just the rough draft, so I have to draw it again anyway, I just was being a lazy butt and not wasting time on the sky and the grass, lol, just working on the main focus of the picture. Thanks for the feedback! :)

I love your frog very realistic, but your grass needs to look more real if you have a blender pencil you could use that on your grass or you could just use your finger to smudge the pencil lines out to make it more real other than that I love your picture :)

We're working on the final "Scratch Art" copies now. When its completely finished I'll try to scan in the canvas so you can all see the finished work! Its looking pretty good right now, if I do say so myself. :D

"scratch art?" Are you using the scratch board things? Oh, and I love the frog! Yeah, I'm with the gras and sky, but meh, rough drafts always tend to skip out on something right! Anywho, andother thing, For the eye, I love how you did it and included the little lights, but I didn't like the fact that they were square (personal opinion) Kinda makes me think the froggie is in a classroom with the rectangle lights and stuff you know? I would like it if they were rounded a bit. Personal Opinion...

BUT! EEK! I love the frog! lmao! You better show us the good draft or else. ;)

I absolutely love the way you drew the frog, Kelsey, it looks very realistic, especially its skin. :) However, I would make the lights in its eyes circular, like Sarah mentioned above as well. Other than that, I would just play around with the colours when you finished the sketch. Use colours in your advantage to give the entire picture a glow, and just make it stand out. I would also use a mixture of silver / white and dark blue for the sky, and contrast it with the moon. :)
