Appearance: Coppery hair which is either in a buzz-cut from his recent military years or in his perfered, familiar, messy spikes. He has handsome dark blue eyes which can look brown in the proper lighting. His teeth are almost perfect, with the exception with a few crowed bottom teeth. His skin skin, once pale, is now tanned, a personal choice on his part, and has very few freckles. He has an abstract tattoo on his right arm which he "just can't seem to remember getting" as well as a chevron on his back that he claims was in protest to hi mother.

History: Married at eighteen, Ana and Rafael Lamaroux Jr. moved themselves from Sacremento, California to a house in Vermont, equipped with a basement, where Rafael could invent and experiement safely. But safety took on a new meaning when Rafael John Lamaroux III was welcomed into the word. Though Ana had grown accustomed to the small fires that erupted in the basement and the funny smell of formaldehyde that emenated from the extra floor below, she began to worry about the safety of their infant son. Rafael II decided to put a hold on his inventing for the health of his family. But the years spent down stairs alone had put an already visible strain on his marriage to Ana. But for four years, Rafael III was a handsome, happy little boy, oblivious to the constant troubles his parents went through. Ana worried her husbands actions would have serious consequences on her family, and her husband felt personally hurt by Ana’s judgment and they began to argue. Ana, on a whim took young Rafael, then four, to live with her sister in Sacramento. Raised by Ana and her dancer of a sister Rachel, Rafael grew to be very comfortable around women. His vetrenarian paternal grandfather (also named Rafael) lived nearby and influenced Rafael's love for exotic animals. Together, the three of them raised young Rafael, or Ray. After all, it takes a villaige to raise a child; espescially a wild child like Rafael. At the age nine, he accompanied Aunt Rachel to a dance studio near his elementary school. While there, Rafael saw six girls in tutus- and two boys his age dancing with them. Already girl-crazy Rafael asked his aunt to sign him up. Rachel agreed, but Ana wasn’t so sure. She saw her sister working two jobs to support her dancing career and Ana couldn’t help but worry that her big sister would push her son in the same direction. Still, being a natural artist herself, Ana gave way to her little boy’s wish. In his dance class, Rafael met- and befriended- the two boys he’d seen dancing; Alexander Sokoll and Michael Marquez. The three boys hit it off immediately and deemed themselves “The Ballet Boys”. Unfortunately, Alexander and Michael were a grade ahead of Rafael, so they went off to high school without him. Rafael used this to his advantage and befriended and "dated" many girls. By high school, he was an established ladies man. In his later years of high school, Rafael noted a change in Michael. Michael didn’t share his and Alexander’s craze for girls. A popular girl named Kendra began malicious rumors that Michael was gay. Fearing for Michael’s reputation, Rafael rushed to Michael’s defense and brought Alexander into the action as well. As Fate would have it, Michael was gay and Rafael’s attempts inadvertently humiliated them both. Out of confusion and fear that he would lose favor with the ladies and even Michael, Rafael distanced himself from him for several months. By his junior year, though, Rafael tried to reach out to Michael. Just when things were looking up for the two best friends, Michael was killed by a drunk driver on prom night. Devastated, Rafael felt even more abandoned when Alexander left for college. He threw himself into his dancing, which worried his mother. She was never a fan of his choice of extra cirricular activity. With Michael dead and Rafael in North Carolina, Rafael decided to stay local for college. He applied and got excepted into California State University at Sacramento, majoring in Dance with a minor in Biology. But Ana wasn't happy with this decision, deciding that dance was a waste of Rafael's time and talent, and he shouldn't and couldn't make a living off of it. She had a "fool-proof" solution to her concern. Ana, without telling Rafael, drafted him into the Army Reserve. Rafael was shocked and felt betrayed by his mother. After basic training, Rafael decided the military wasn’t for him, but he had lost his scholarship, and had no other choice. He asked for a prolonged military leave. Cunningly, he took that time to "find himself" his way, since his mother was so keen and helbent on him finding the man she wanted him to be. To him, "finding himself" meant backpacking through Europe, a dream the Ballet Boys always had, but never did fulfill. While in Paris, he reunited with Alexander who was working at an opera house. The two best friends became roommates and collegues. But his real life back in the states long, and tearful departure from his newly reacquainted best friend. It was the scariest thing he ever had done. He couldn't fight--wouldn't fight so instead, he worked to help the Iraqi villages. It was there he met a fetching 24 year old E4 named Jennifer Hennings. Rafael knew his way with women, and though very suave and collected, he found himself dumbstruck and confused by the woman. He never knew what to say with her, but he didn't need to. One day, while working with one of the orphanages, a fight broke out in the center. Jennifer scrambled the children together and stood protecting them. Rafael was out to the side and carefully watched the fight. He watched, terrified, a gun accidently be fired in their direction-- more improtantly in Jennifer's direction. He couldn't let that bullet hit her; not the only girl he had ever felt this strongly for, and he certainly couldn't risk the children's lives, so he took the bullet for her, awarding him the Soldier's Medal. It didn't matter to him though. It seemed his efforts to save her life were in vain for a week before his release from the hospital, she went missing, and taken as a Prisoner of War.
He returned home to France and sent his resignation papers from the army. Nlong after, Jeniffer returned. It changed his life forever, and very quickly his life is coming back together. He wrote to aunt and mother telling them of his choice. Ana was very against it, but Rachel supports his decision, agreeing that the army was never for him anyways.

Alexander Sokoll- Actually, he already knew Alexander. The two best friends were reunited at the eiffle tower where the painful subjuect of the late Michael Marquez came up.

Simone Perry- Rafael and her started out with a lot of banerting, but Rafael decided that there were many other women in France and it was still only his first day. So they mutually decided on a brother/sister rlationship

Kendra Kelly- Heavy flirting. Met in the Note Blueu and are getting quite serious, which starting to scare Rafael.

Maureen Dawson- Met in the Abandoned Mansion. Rafael and her had a mini argument in the dark, but now they are introduced and life is good... for now.

Rafael will be leaving soon. He is currently on military leave so he is going to Iraq to fight. Afterall, he's still AMerican. But he will miss all of you and asks for a small supply of socks, toothpaste, and chapstick while he's away....

Rafael's blog.

So this is my blog. I'm not going to put dates or nothing on here because half the time, I don't even know what day it is. Its about 2034 hours right now (That's military speak for 8:34 pm) and I am bored as hell.
Went to the doctors today and he said I was healing. Its a long-ish process, made longer by my inability to sit still. lol. I saw Jeniffer today. I swear, she gets more and more beautiful each time I look at here. Despite the fact I'm writing this and posting it on the World Wide Web, I want to keep my feelings a secret. Just for now. In all honesty, the prospect of falling in love is frightening. I know what you're thinking; C'mon, Rafael, you fought in Iraq, you can fall in love. You weren't scared of that, you shouldn't be scared of this! Yeah, well, you're wrong. I was scared out of my wits to go to Iraq, and first of all, I didn't even fight so just back off!

O-kay, angry eyes off. Hmmm... What else? Oh, I heard from my grandpa today. I love that guy. He sends his and my mothers' love. But unfortunately, my contact with Simone has gone somewhere, and I can't seem to find it. I miss her terribly. And I worry about her, but, hey, its an older brother's job right? Right?

I'm done ranting for now, I will go practice a bit or find something else intellectually stimulating.

Hey Rafael here. I think its the 17th of June but I don't know. The time? well its about 1130 hours.

I have some big mucho grande news right now. wanna hear, wanna hear? You know you do!

I Rafael John Lamaroux III, ladies man extrodonaire, the epitome of a flirt am in love! Thats right, L-O-V-E love. The same stuff that I swore I would never find. Hell, I didn't want to find it so love found me and I now I know what I was missing.

Jen is so beautiful, as shallow as that sounds. But shes also beautiful inside. She's spunky which is awesome and can keep me in my place which I'm sure Alexander will love.

Speaking of Alexander, I will be taking my conscience from him piece by piece, just as its starting to lighten up a bit. But whatever, I'm sure he'll be appreciative.

So I was practicing today and i realized; wow! No pain. That's.... odd. Nice, but... odd. so I got it checked out and I am now officially comletely healed. This is great news. All y'alll can breathe now.

Well, I think I hear a diet Coke and fresh batch of (store bought) cookies calling my name, so I better go quiet it down.
