Laurent Montague
Age: 18
Gender: Male
Occupation: Dancer, Photographer
History: Laurent was born in a small piece of countryside located in the outer ring of Paris, France. He was a scrawny boy growing up, being described in his younger years like being “dragged in by the cat.” This was all linked to being sick as a child, always in and out of the hospital with some bug and never keeping his energy at an even kill. As he progressed to his late childhood he seemed to get better all of a sudden, and emerged out of his tiny shell. Laurent gained weight and grew up several inches, turning into a quite handsome young man who was passionately interested in the performing arts of the Opera House, and photography, like his father.
Part of Laurent’s illness was depression, due to the regular verbal beatings that his father unleashed towards his wife and son. But this all came to an end when his father committed suicide in the middle of his childhood. The healing began, and Laurent and his mother continued living by themselves in peace, for once in their life. Though his father was out of the picture, the boy still had a lot of healing and emotional pain that he had to deal with in his life. It left him the opposite of what people would think… too easily trusting of people.
Time after time he would watch his mother perform graceful ballet steps in their own quaint home, wanting so long to take up her craft one day. His chance came when he received news of the Paris Opera House being renovated and looking for prospective performers to come and live within the dormitories. Laurent had his big chance; this was his time to shine and grow in his trade among others of his youth. Little did he know, however, what he was stepping into the first time he graced the doors of the Opera Stage?
Personality: Laurent is generally friendly towards everyone, and can be a little bit too comfortable around strangers. He’s always up for a laugh, though his seems naive at times when it comes to the rumors of the Opera Ghost.
Passions: Dancing, performing arts, photography.
Looks: Lean, yet strong build. He has oceanic blue eyes that seemed to pierce through the darkness, hiding in them what Laurent feels inside. He tries to dress in fashionable clothes as much as he can, cost permitting as a performer in the Opera House.
